The Project
Total demolition and abatement of Azteca, 7-story Sheraton hotel, and accompanying buildings right off i405 in Bellevue, WA. The hotel was constructed of a mix of pre-cast and cast in place concrete elements and required a highly orchestrated and specific demolition method to be brought to the ground safely. The Azteca restaurant required significant exterior abatement of its entire Stucco finishing system. This was accomplished in a full exterior enclosure under negative pressure. After demolition was completed, nearly 5,000 tons of concrete was processed and left on site to stabilize basement walls and foundations which were remaining in place.
