The Project
Total demolition and abatement of Tyee High School. A major component of the scope of work was to carefully salvage and prep the existing glue laminated beams for re-use in the new school. Beams were successfully removed during demolition of the structure lead coating was removed via sandblasting in a large exterior containment. After structural demolition was complete, crews crushed nearly 10,000 tons of concrete on-site. Project scale $1.5 million with 130,000 affected square feet.
