The Project
Total demolition of the old YMCA in Everett, WA. This building was between two separate buildings and married to a historic brick building that could not be damaged. Ascendent reduced vibration whenever possible and pre-existing cracks were monitored daily to ensure they had not grown from demolition. We manufactured a custom dust curtain to ensure debris stayed within the site while in a compact urban environment. The YMCA building was 60’ tall and required two road closures. Our team employed the use of a float tank to sort recyclable materials out of debris. Project scale was nearly $1 million and utilized 4 owned machines.
