The Project
Total demolition and abatement of the former Harrison Medical Center, located in Bremerton WA. The continuous structure was built in multiple phases and included varying construction types all requiring varying demolition methods to ensure safety and efficiency. Prior to structure demolition a significant effort for architectural and interior salvaging was undertaken in partnership with multiple local re-use companies resulting in the diversion of 10 tons of architectural items slated for re-use instead of being landfilled. Project scale was $5.2 million with a peak crew size of 18 field employees and 10 machines on site. Crushing was done on site to aid in recycling efforts that lead to nearly 20,000 tons of recycled materials. Over 85% of total generated materials were diverted from landfills.
